Tampa, FL – HART is holding a public hearing on Thursday, June 24 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the HART Administrative Office located at 1201 E. 7th Avenue in Ybor. The purpose of the hearing is to provide the opportunity to individuals and/or groups to present their views and comments regarding HART’s proposed application for federal transit Urbanized Area Formula funds.
HART will be receiving $11,292,288 in federal funds for fiscal year 2010. The funds will be used to fund capital and operating projects, including: capital leases, preventative maintenance, acquisition of vehicles, equipment, information system upgrades, facility improvements, transit enhancement projects, passenger amenities, ADA operations, planning activities, security projects, and project administration.
HART’s ad valorem funds, which HART receives mostly from property taxes, will be used to match the planning projects, which require a 20 percent local match.
